Sun Life Center rolls out TeleHealth program

Sun Life Family Health Center is rolling out its new TeleHealth patient video chat portal early because of the coronavirus.
The TeleHealth portal allows patients to chat with a doctor or medical professional via video over the internet using a computer or a smartphone, said Sam Reinhard, Sun Life’s manager of patient engagement and community relations. The medical center planned to roll out the program in the fall but the sudden arrival of the coronavirus situation caused the center to move up the launch date.
“We’re really doing our best to keep people safe and at home if possible,” she said.
