Nikola Motor Company will break ground on a highly anticipated manufacturing plant in Coolidge on July 23, though there is still a process ahead before construction can begin.
CEO of parent company Nikola Corp. Trevor Milton made the announcement via Twitter early Friday morning. In his tweet, Milton said the company will hold a ceremony to kick off construction of the facility.
The plant is expected to create thousands of direct and indirect jobs within Pinal County and will build up to 35,000 hydrogen electric and electric semi-trucks.
