Residents may have begun receiving calls or voicemails from the Census Bureau. These calls are part of our Coverage Improvement Operation, which began on April 22nd and will run through October 31st. The goal of this operation is to make sure everyone in a household was counted, and to validate information provided when they completed the census questionnaire. If the household does not answer a call, agents will leave a voicemail with a 12-digit ID as a reference number.
Please remember that the U.S. Census Bureau will NEVER ask for: Social Security Numbers, Bank Information, Donations or Credit Card Information. If fraud is suspected, call 800-923-8282 to speak with a local Census Bureau representative.
