Pinal County will form civilian posse to help deputies with ‘suppressing lawlessness’

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office will form a civilian posse to assist deputies with law enforcement, officials said Wednesday.
Citing the sprawling size of Pinal County, the sheriff’s office said the posse program would help law enforcement be available sooner during emergencies or times of “widespread unrest.”
Deputies “may need assistance suppressing lawlessness and defending the county,” spokeswoman Lauren Reimer said in a statement.
