Hudson, Daniels, Hendrie-Henry lead the way for Coolidge Council

A teenager has shaken up the Coolidge political scene, but he wants his soon-to-be constituents to know he’s not a novelty act.

Eric Daniels, at just 19, finished second in the Coolidge City Council race behind incumbent Steve Hudson, who led the way with 1,047 votes with only a handful of ballots left to count Tuesday. Daniels had 961 votes.

“I’m just honored the citizens of Coolidge have given their confidence in me like they’ve done in the past,” Hudson said. “I’m just a hard-working person who tries to take care of all the citizens of Coolidge.”
