Eloy’s Main Street getting a facelift

There has been a noticeable change to Main Street over the past month as the facades and arcades between Frontier and Sixth streets have been given a bit of a facelift.
All existing tile and underlayment tar paper was removed and the underlying plywood has been selectively replaced where it’s needed.
“The arcade roofing required a great deal of work,” Economic Development Specialist Jeff Fairman said. “Many of you know that we have had tile and on occasion, it would fall and hit a car. It had seen many, many years of abuse and fortunately we’re getting that all taken care of.”
