Portion of Eloy CARES money going to social service agency

The city will use $100,000 of the CARES Act money it received from the state to assist residents through the Community Action Human Resources Agency.

The City Council approved an agreement with CAHRA to provide assistance with rent and utility payments in addition to purchasing a commercial freezer and food for the Santa Cruz Valley Food Bank.

The rent and utility assistance will be provided only to eligible Eloy residents. Utility assistance is limited to city of Eloy water, sewer and trash expenses.
