Higher Pinal animal control fees proposed

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors will consider higher fees for some animal control services next month.
Audra Michael, director of Pinal County Animal Care & Control, presented potential new fees to the board on Wednesday, Oct. 14. The board will consider approval of the new fees on Nov. 18.
Michael told the board that although costs have gone up, the county has not raised fees in more than three years. She continued that the new fees are meant to be an incentive for citizens to have their pets spayed and vaccinated, and not all fees will increase.
