Plans for east-side sewer expansion move ahead in Casa Grande

Haydon Building Corp. has been chosen to do preconstruction services for Casa Grande’s east-side sewer expansion project.
The Casa Grande City Council on Monday approved a measure to enter into a $166,972 construction-manager-at-risk contract with the company. Under the terms of the contract, the company will conduct soil investigation, utility pot holing, material selection, cost estimating and value engineering for the expansion.
Six firms submitted applications for the job, Public Works Director Kevin Louis told the council. Three were interviewed by a selection committee.
