Sewer and water services are provided by two community facilities districts in Apache Junction, neither of which had out-of-court settlements or claims during the past five years but one paid out $8,500 for personal property damages.
Arizona legislative authority was established in 1988 for community facilities districts. The special purpose, tax-levying, public-improvement districts aid in financing and providing public infrastructure, such as water, sewer, schools and streets in a defined district.
