CG’s 2030 General Plan receives nearly 87% ‘yes’ vote

As of Wednesday, out of the 5,123 votes cast, all by mail, almost 87% approved of the 2030 General Plan.
“I want to thank our community, especially those community leaders and City Staff that participated in the development and construction of the 2030 General Plan,”said Mayor Craig McFarland. “It is one of the most comprehensive well put together documents I have ever worked on and will help guide our city land use for the next 10 – 20 years. Thank you to everyone!”
The plan is required by state law to be updated every 10 years.
