Maricopa at center of water conservation research
By Robby Gal | Coolidge Examiner
With Arizona’s scarcity of water, the aim here has always been to do more with less.
At the Arid Land Agricultural Research Center, the staff is working on a variety of related projects including food safety, water availability and management, climate change, biorefining, plant genetic resources and crop protection, to name a few.
The center is operated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service.
The director is Steve Naranjo, and Kevin Bronson is research leader for the water conservation project.
