Group opposes sale of Johnson Utilities

Some San Tan Valley residents are worried about terms of the proposed sale of water provider Johnson Utilities to the town of Florence, calling it ill-advised. A few have asked the utility governing body, Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC), to hear their concerns, while others have written letters of opposition.
One group has organized into a temporary political action committee called FAR, standing for Fairness, Accountability, and Rights — “things we aren’t getting in this sale,” according to PAC member Candice Steelman.
