PPGRC co-chairs Richard Rosales, APS and Rebecca Timmer, Stantec facilitated our November meeting with Patrick Moran, Deputy Director of the Arizona Joint Legislative Budget Committee (JLBC) as the guest speaker. Over the last decade, Patrick has contributed to JLBC’s analysis of state budget issues across a range of policy areas, including K-12 education, Medicaid, and child welfare, among others. He provided the Committee with an update of the tax impacts from the Big Beautiful Bill and more. His presentation can be viewed here:Budget Update
Committee member Mitch Basefsky, Central Arizona Project (CAP) provided the Committee with a CAP Update. The sharing reductions of the Colorado River are still being determined between the Upper and Lower Basin States.
