Free Workshops at Central Arizona College for Adult Students

Central Arizona CollegePinal County, AZ – Have you ever wondered if college is for you? Central Arizona College will offer a new workshop series beginning this fall – Pathways to Success. This series is designed to assist nontraditional adult students in getting a jumpstart on their education and career success.

Workshops this fall will focus on advising, financial aid, understanding your GPA, technology for the college classroom, and how to fit college into an already busy life.

Pathways to Success workshops will be held from 4:30 until 6 p.m. in building M, room 101 at the Signal Peak Campus (8470 N. Overfield Rd., Coolidge, AZ).

Following is the Fall 2015 workshop schedule:

  • September 10                   Advising – The Basics
  • September 22                   Financial Aid – What do you need to know?
  • October 13                          Essential Technology for the College Classroom
  • October 19                          Understanding your GPA
  • November 4                       A Balancing Act I – How to fit college into your busy life
  • November 17                    A Balancing Act II – Resources to assist you in your educational journey

During the spring semester, career-focused workshops will be held. The scheduled workshops for Spring 2016 include:

  • February 3                          Internships – Educational and career value
  • February 24                        Resumes – How to structure your resume to be noticed
  • March 9                                Interviews – How to be confident in any interview
  • March 30                             Dream Job – How to start planning for your life
  • April 13                                Playing Nice in the Sandbox – Generational differences in the workplace
  • April 27                                Working with you is killing me – Workplace relationships
