As CAC plans buildings, replace or renovate is the question

It will cost Central Arizona College $800,000 more to renovate existing buildings on the college’s Signal Peak Campus than to build a new building, according to an architectural report.
Architects from Architekton have presented options to the college’s Governing Board on how to repair or replace the Everingham Student Center, which houses the campus bookstore and cafeteria, and Hoyt Hall, which is the science building.
One option would be to renovate the existing buildings at a cost of $31 million, while the other option is to build a brand new building to house everything at a cost of $30.2 million.
