P&Z to consider general commercial district zoning for 2428 W. Broadway Ave
A city of Apache Junction initiated request for rezoning a 0.49-acre property owned by Ronald J. Dwyer at 2428 W. Broadway Ave. will be considered at the Aug. 9 planning and zoning commission and Aug. 16 city council meetings, according to a public notice at http://www.publicnoticeads.com/AZ/.
Both meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the Apache Junction City Council Chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd. Agendas will be posted at https://apachejunction.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx.
The rezoning for Pinal County Assessor parcel number 101-07-032 is from medium density single-family detached residential, manufactured or conventional housing permitted, to general commercial district. The rezoning is being sought for the purpose of correcting an inadvertent rezoning of the property from commercial to residential, which occurred with the adoption of the city’s new zoning maps in June 2014.
