Candidates for supervisor in D2 stress jobs for San Tan Valley

Candidates for Pinal County Supervisor in District 2 spoke to an audience of 50 or so people about how they would draw more head-of-household jobs to San Tan Valley at a forum Wednesday at San Tan Foothills High School.
Three of the five candidates attended. Debra L. Banks stood in for incumbent Supervisor Cheryl Chase, who was fighting “a slight flu,” according to Banks, and Manuel Vega did not attend. Besides job creation, they also took questions about making the county a model for educational excellence and promoting enjoyment of the area’s natural environment and open spaces.
The first question to the candidates was what they would do to attract good jobs to District 2 and “stand up to homebuilder pressure” to commit more land for residential lots.
