A presentation made to the Coolidge Unified School District Governing Board last week focused on the direction that the district is taking and the progress made as it relates to the third prong of the McKinstry Partnership: STEM Education.
Daniel Musgrove, president of Opnock, and Pat Jimenez, district consultant, presented what Opnock has in terms of exciting implications regarding STEM Education in Coolidge Unified School District. Agricultural Education will serve as the centerpiece for STEM connectivity, providing cross-curricular learning opportunities and self-sustaining financial benefit.
Among those focuses in agriculture education include hands-on engagement, aquaponics, rain water harvesting and solar photovoltaics to name a handful.
