Water rates in area to increase

Arizona Water Company is notifying its residential customers in Pinal County that they can expect to see a 24 percent increase in their monthly bills.
The rate change comes after the Arizona Corporation Commission decided last month to allow the utility company to raise rates for its customers in Casa Grande, Coolidge and Stanfield.
The residential customers in these areas can expect to see a $7.14 boost after the new rates take effect this month. The new rate is about $1.50 less than the rate originally sought by AWC.
