Over 182,000 new solar panels in Red Rock are generating enough electricity to power up to 10,000 homes.
But the energy they’re producing has already been dedicated to two customers: Arizona State University and PayPal. Arizona Public Service Co. partnered with the two entities to construct its largest grid-scale solar plant in the state.
Though the panels have been generating power since December, the three partners held a ceremony Wednesday where officials “flipped the switch” on the plant.
