Pinal officials want more college grads in county
by Kelly Fisher | Casa Grande Dispatch
Pinal County, like the state as a whole, has a higher-education problem.
Forty-two percent of Arizona adults have obtained a two- or four-year post-secondary education degree, certificate or other qualifying credential, and only 54 percent of 2014-15 grads even moved on to a post-secondary institution.
This is not to mention the growing number of employers requiring advanced education, making jobs available to those with just high school diplomas more and more scarce.
