Demolitions begin for SR 347 Overpass Project

Demolition of buildings in Maricopa has begun for the State Route 347 Overpass Project.
Demolition got underway Wednesday and will continue through at least the rest of the week. Tom Herrmann, Public Information Officer for Arizona Department of Transportation, said he does not have a list of the buildings that have come down up to this point, but there are more demolitions scheduled.
Will Dunn is owner of Cotton Blossom Flower Shop, and his business is located in the middle of the construction. He said Wednesday the building that used to house the John Donohue Chiropractor Office was taken down.
