Pinal judge appointed to Southern Az appeals court

A judge from Pinal County has been appointed by Gov. Doug Ducey to the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division Two, in Tucson. Judge Karl Eppich will take the seat vacated by retiring Judge Joseph Howard, hearing cases from Southern Arizona.
Eppich is the presiding judge of family court for the Pinal County Superior Court, where he has served since 2014. He was previously a municipal court judge in the city of Mesa and a judge pro tem for the Maricopa County Superior Court.
Prior to taking the bench, Eppich worked as a lawyer in private practice with Lewis and Roca and Mangum, Wall, Stoops & Warden. His private practice experience includes commercial litigation, insurance defense, product liability litigation, education, employment and administrative law, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
