13-year water dispute settled for land near Robson Ranch

If approved by state regulators, a 13-year dispute over a parcel of Pinal County land — and what water company services the area — could soon come to a close.

But one member of the Arizona Corporation Commission, Bob Burns, is concerned about a potential conflict of interest regarding thousands of dollars funneled into the campaigns of Commissioners Boyd Dunn and Tom Forese — and how that money could influence an important ACC vote in December.

The ACC, a regulatory body that oversees utility rates and rules in the state, has said that a longstanding dispute over a vacant 1,138-acre parcel near Eloy is likely to be resolved in December.
