Tavern closing leaves gap in downtown Casa Grande

The former owner of a downtown bar says the decision to close had been a while in the making.

Speaking with PinalCentral, Danielle Delsi, who along with her husband owned the Old Town Ale House, said she’d begun to rethink being in the entertainment business last summer.

“I decided last summer I wanted to begin phasing out and preparing to pass the baton to someone better prepared for this lifestyle. It is an extremely difficult life running this kind of business and working full time elsewhere, plus we were burnt out,” Delsi said. “Roy finally agreed with me in November and we began to prepare. We had a few hiccups and it took a few months to find the right time and opportunity to make an exit.”
