Maricopa considers upscale hotel options

“…several suitable available sites already exist in this area, including city-owned land next to Copper Sky Recreation Complex,” as pictured in the center of the map above.
With the wheels of economic development quickly turning in Maricopa, the city looks to add another amenity in the area — a hotel.
The idea stems from a hotel feasibility study that was just completed for the city by the company HVS Hotel Consulting and Valuation. The study analyzed the potential for a nationally branded, extended-stay hotel.
“Our investment in this report helps us make the case for a hotel lodging facility here, particularly because we don’t have that,” said Denyse Airheart, director of economic development.
