CityGate rebranded for proposed furniture outlet

A furniture assembly and sales operation might soon begin in an old Casa Grande outlet mall after preliminary approval by the city planning commission.
On Thursday, Casa Grande Planning and Zoning commissioners voted to approve a zone change for the property that soon will be officially known as CityGate, the former outlet mall near Jimmie Kerr Boulevard and Interstate 10. The property currently is owned by AZ Sourcing, which also owns PhoenixMart. The CityGate name actually has been in use for some time.
CityGate currently houses a welcome center for the proposed mega-warehouse, which is near Florence Boulevard and Signal Peak Road. After a change in permitted uses, however, new activity will be starting, said Jason Cupo, the attorney for PhoenixMart.
