New Florence code enforcement manual aims to educate community

Florence’s new code enforcement manual is now available to help residents, business owners and town staff understand town code and the town’s approach to problem properties.
Code enforcement usually targets such items as junk cars, accumulation of trash and debris, weeds, outdoor storage, dilapidated structures and other problems that may affect health or safety.
The eight-page manual was on the agenda for adoption at Monday’s Town Council meeting, but town staff said no action was necessary and the council didn’t vote.
