Casa Grande businesses complain about intense county audits

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday approved a settlement with Frito-Lay over a lingering tax issue, although details of the agreement won’t be released for several weeks.
County Manager Greg Stanley said the snack food purveyor will have 20 days to accept or reject the offer regarding its Casa Grande plant.
Prior to the board accepting the agreement, supervisors heard an update on an auditing program that’s resulted in nearly $1 million in taxes collected for the county and other taxing entities’ coffers.
