Scottsdale developer to Elon Musk: Bring Tesla to Arizona

After eccentric Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk recently threatened to move the company out of California, one of Arizona’s largest private landowners is looking to capitalize on the opportunity.

When Musk first tweeted he planned for Tesla to leave California over the state’s stay-at-home order that shut down his Fremont electric vehicle plant, he specifically mentioned Nevada and Texas as potential locations. However, Jackob Andersen, president and CEO of Scottsdale-based Saint Holdings quickly sent a letter to Musk pitching Pinal County as a potential site for Tesla.

“Having already attracted multiple electric vehicle companies to our sites, we are well versed in assisting our partners with not only site selection but all facets of locating a world-class advanced manufacturing facility in our region and on our developments,” Andersen wrote in the letter.
