McCarville appointed to new term as Pinal presiding judge
FLORENCE — The Arizona Supreme Court has appointed Stephen McCarville to a new three-year term as presiding judge for Pinal County beginning Jan. 1.
McCarville was appointed to the Superior Court in Pinal County as a judge pro tempore in 2000. He later won election to his first term as a Superior Court Judge that year and became presiding judge in 2014.
Due to population growth, Pinal County switched from the popular election of judges to merit selection and retention by voters. Voters approved of McCarville’s performance by retaining him on the 2012 ballot.
