GOVERNMENT RELATIONS COMMITTEE RECAP 09/22/26
Committee Co-chair Rebecca Timmer kicked off the meeting with introductions and introduced Stan Barnes, President of Copper State Consulting Group.
Stan shared his hometown routes in Pinal County. A fourth generation Arizonan, Stan previously served in the AZ Legislature Senate and House, specializing in environmental and water issues.
We discussed legislative districts in play and chamber control. We had a conversation about state-wide races, ballot propositions, and how overall distribution of voters across parties may impact races.
We had a great turnout and lively discussion leading into the mid-term election.
Rebecca confirmed the Pinal Partnership Legislative Principles for the coming session were approved by the committee and Executive Board. Click here for a copy.
The next Government Relations Committee meeting will be held on October 27th at 8:00 a.m.
The next Pinal Partnership breakfast will be held at Gold Canyon on October 2nd and will feature a discussion on data centers.
